Andytown made a great first impression – today was their “birthday,” and they were giving out free coffee all day! Any latte, macchiato, or coffee drink was complimentary today to celebrate the anniversary of the cafe’s opening. I ordered an almond milk latte – my go-to drink – and learned that each paper cup was hand stamped! I also tried the strawberry and chocolate scone (pictured above), which was filled with mini chocolate chips and sweet strawberry chunks, sprinkled with a layer of sugary crystals.
Andytown is known for the “Snowy Plover” – espresso with soda water, brown sugar syrup, and a dollop of homemade whip cream – and their freshly baked soda bread, served with butter or jam. The cafe’s white-tile walls and succulent clad surfaces create a chic, modern atmosphere, rivaling the hippest of cafes located more centrally in the city.
