Momofuku MILK Bar was one of the highlights of my trip to New York. MILK bar was recommended to me by everyone who had previously been to NY before – it has many locations throughout the city, and has a variety of treats that are one-of-a-kind. MILK Bar is known for their cereal milk soft serve (pictured below), their “crack pies,” and their corn and compost cookies.

The soft serve was like nothing I had ever tasted before. The ice cream itself was cereal milk flavored: imagine the taste of the milk left at the end of your cereal, but covered in “crunch”, the cornflakes they sprinkle onto the ice cream. The dessert was enjoyable even in 50 degree weather, and I was pleasantly surprised to find more cornflakes inside the cup at the bottom of the ice cream!

MILK Bar also serves a multitude of shakes, cakes, bon bons, cookies, and even straight up cereal flavored milk. The “crack pies” are thin slivers of chocolate on top of a pie-like crust. The cookies were indescribably tasty. The types of cookies had strange names, such as Blueberry & Cream Compost Cookie, Corn, Cornflake Marshmallow, and Chocolate. The texture was similar to that of Oatmeal and Raisin cookies, but the flavors were rich and the cookies were perfectly chewy.

The next time I have the chance to go back to NY, MILK Bar will definitely be my first stop!
